The Joe and Kristina Crosby Education Foundation (JKCEF) is committed to supporting public education for children at the elementary, high school and collegiate level.  Joe and Kristina Crosby are the founders of Coach’s Low Country Brands™.  Part of the vision upon founding their company was to give back to the community through education.  To that end, they immediately set out to start the JKCEF.  The company donates a portion of the proceeds from their product sales to the Foundation.  Community giving has also been augmented through support from companies such as Wal-Mart, Bi-Lo, Staples, and Applebees, which have been partners in support of the Foundation.  These partners share Joe and Kristina’s vision and mission of providing additional educational resources to youth and educators in our community.

The Foundation provides targeted financial support through unrestricted giving to individuals and organizations that fall within the Foundation’s core mission.  This support reduces obstacles for recipients and enables them to more readily achieve educational success.

The JCKEF has 4 targeted areas, within the core mission statement:

  1. Provide classroom supplies to teachers in grades K–5 in Oconee County.

  2. Provide backpacks to all Oconee County Public Elementary School children (grades K–5).

  3. Provide support to ProStart®® program through National Restaurant Association Education Foundation.

  4. Provide collegiate scholarships for students studying Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Business, or Management.  Collegiate scholarships for non-traditional students pursuing careers within the PGA.

The JKCEF also supports other non-profit, 501(C)(3) organizations through its generous in-kind support on a regional and national level. The JKCEF hosts fundraisers for many community educational organizations, including high schools, athletic teams, etc.

The JKCEF also provides additional donations to selected colleges/universities and educational organizations through the sale of Coach’s Low Country Boil Seasoning® .
The funds are used for academic and athletic support within the respective organizations.
